Company History
TECO Electro Devices (TED) originated as the Stepper Motor Division of TECO Electric & Machinery in 1985 and became an independent entity in 1998 to address the rising demand for precision motion control. Since then, TED has evolved into a leading manufacturer of stepper motors. In 2022, TED was listed on Taiwan’s Emerging Stock Market, with its products serving customers worldwide.
To strengthen its competitiveness in industrial automation, TED expanded its offerings to include hybrid stepper motors, servo motors, and brushed/brushless DC motors—positioning itself as a key player in TECO Group’s precision motor strategy.
In 2024, TED (Taiwan) was fully integrated into TECO Group, aligning production, R&D, and sales functions to enhance operational efficiency and expand its electromechanical system integration business. This strategic move also empowered TED’s subsidiary, Wuxi TECO Precision Micro Motor Co., Ltd., with enhanced R&D, management, and channel resources to scale globally.
Today, TED continues to serve as TECO Group’s core motor R&D and manufacturing center, focusing on diversified, system-integrated motor solutions. Through partnerships with global brands and the rollout of next-generation products, TED is expanding into advanced applications in precision machinery, semiconductor manufacturing, and autonomous mobility.
