In response to the growing demand for high-precision motion technology, TECO Group established its Stepper Motor Business Unit in 1985. By 1998, this division evolved into an independent entity—TECO Electro Devices Co., Ltd. (TED)—dedicated to the design and manufacturing of precision stepper motors for global markets. Over the years, TED has expanded its portfolio beyond hybrid stepper motors to include servo motors and both brushed and brushless DC motors, playing a critical role in TECO Group’s strategic positioning in industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and electric mobility applications.

In 2024, as part of TECO Group’s organizational optimization, TED Taiwan was formally integrated into the Group’s Smart Control Systems Division. This realignment enhances synergies in R&D and engineering resources, reinforcing TED’s role within the Group’s global strategy. Meanwhile, Wuxi TECO Electro Devices, the company’s subsidiary in mainland China, continues to expand its operational scale and plays a key role in servo motor development and production. The Wuxi facility now works closely with TECO Group to support global customers and drive international market expansion.
